Eric Wohlgemuth, Ph.D.
Eric has worked as a professional archaeologist since 1977. Since his 1985 hire at Far Western, he has conducted archaeobotanical research (the study of plant remains preserved in archaeological sites), as well as directing field projects and authoring reports. He has written over 100 technical archaeobotanical reports, and the only peer-reviewed publications on California plant remains. His more general interests include the archaeology of central California, and the evolution of complex hunter-gatherer societies and their transition to agricultural economies.
